Welcome to Winnona Park Elementary
Welcome to Winnona Park Elementary School. We are a kindergarten through third grade school located in Decatur, Georgia. Winnona Park is one of three K-3 schools in City Schools of Decatur. The school was designed by architect J.W. Sayward and built in 1923, however we have gone through a number of renovations and additions since then. The school is in a spacious and convenient location only a few blocks from Agnes Scott College, Columbia Theological Seminary and downtown Decatur, Georgia. Our current student enrollment is approximately 300 students.
Winnona Park Elementary School is committed to providing all students with a positive and challenging learning environment. We are committed to Expeditionary Learning as our school reform model (www.elschools.org) and it is our hope is that every student comes to school excited about a new day of learning. I am proud of what is accomplished each day here at Winnona Park. We have a staff of professionals who truly care about our children. We believe that education of children is a partnership between home and school and are fortunate to have many parents participating in a variety of ways to continually improve our school.
